Hey I'm Aaron! My photography journey started in 2020 during the pandemic. I used the hour we were allowed to spend outside every day to go for a walk. Although I was getting out of the house, the same walk every day had become tedious and I needed to make it more interesting. I had always enjoyed taking photos on my phone, creating artwork or paintings, so I picked up a camera and took it with me.At this time, I had no idea that this would be a huge benefit to my mental health, which I've always struggled with. The lens allowed me to see completely new perspectives on the walk that had become so monotonous. As the restrictions lifted, I started going further afield and seeing more places in different ways, in different perspectives. The biggest milestone in my photography journey was meeting the Dawnstalkers in Penarth (if you haven't heard of them you should check them out!). Suddenly I was able to capture people and their emotions, I took images in the sea of people enjoying themselves and I was right there for their special experiences of the cold water in the sea.Up until then my photography had been of anything and everything I could try to make creative, but capturing the Dawnstalkers had a massive impact on me and my photography.I felt connected. To me, it made sense to capture people and their emotions, and it came effortlessly. The people in my images connected with my photos and it all just gathered pace. I was able to connect with people and my photography; in a time where I'd always struggled to connect with others and tell my own stories in words, photography was my way forward and it was at the seafront that I discovered this about myself. This is why I help people to create connections and memories. It explains my why. My photos tell stories that I never could with words. I really enjoy working with people who want to tell their stories through their visuals - people connect with people and I’m helping you to connect with clients, customers, friends, family members or yourself.
